You'll launch from a public boat dock and take your supplies by boat, unload at your house and experience the lake only by boat until you are ready to return. There is absolutely no car access to this side of lake, and most who live there wouldn't have it any other way! The lifestyle is primitive, but there are some nice places to live in the Hog Bend area.
We even have one child who lives in Hog Bend who attends school with all the other children - her mother simply drives her across the lake every morning, parks the boat, and drives her the rest of the way by car. Its not for everyone, but like we say "there's something for everyone at Possum Kingdom" and the lifestyle in Hog Bend certainly punctuates that point, doesn't it?!

If the weather is nice, ask one of our agents for a tour of Hog Bend - nice thing is they'd have to tour you by boat and you'll get to experience a part of the lake that most avoid. There are some nice properties there with some folks living year-round in them.
